Question: What do you get when you bring together fashion bloggers, their wardrobe overflow, and a bunch of excitable followers?

Answer: a LOT of fun!

A few weekends ago I visited The Bloggers Market, set up between Chalk Farm and Camden Town in a copper-clad space called The Foundary. Five fashion bloggers: Olivia of What Olivia Did, Carrie of Wish Wish Wish, Dunya of Dearest Deer, Kristabel of I Want You To Know and Lucy of Shiny Thoughts, kindly put on one of the most glamorous sales that's probably ever hit Camden, and invited everyone along.

There were cocktail cupcakes from Lena's Bakery and eats from Liv, but I arrived too late and everything had been gobbled up. Boo! Maybe next time, eh?

Also, Joel from Hair By Joel was offering beehives, plaits... whatever you fancied, for FREE. It looked fantastic. If I hadn't just had my hair did, I would have definitely taken him up on a fancy 'do.

I went with strong intentions to keep my purse firmly shut, but as soon as my eyes fell on some pillar box red loafers from Russell and Bromley, it was love. Upon discovering they were on sale for £20 (I KNOW, right? What a steal), I begged them to be put on hold. I battled wind and rain to draw out some dollar and make those babies mine.

When I returned someone was giving them the eye, even asking how much they were! I was having none of it, and rather assertively implied (read: wailed) that I had saved them and HERE WAS MY MONEY. Definitely worth it.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to meet other bloggers whilst ogling some pretty clothes. Furthermore, a whole lotta love and care went into the event, with Carrie even hand-painting the bags - which was a lovely, personal touch.

I hope that The Blogger's Market happens again, and a huge thank you to everyone involved! The whole time I was there, the hall was buzzing, and it's safe to say it was a massive success.

The excitement begins...
The pretty pathway, lined with (admittedly bare) trees
The Foundry = copper heaven
A bustling market!
"Social stuff"
Just a small sample of the array of clothes on sale
Hair products and haribo. I may have had a few... (haribo, not hair products!)
"Original inklings", created by Carrie
Each blogger had a sizing guide for clothes & shoes
Hi Liv!
How cute are these business cards?!
My rather worn but loved flats which wish they were Charlotte Olympia...
Carrie having a chat with some punters (is this the right word? I doubt it)
My bloggers market bag and my bespoke bag/baby from Tusting
Groovy artwork because, well, when in Camden
Copper and foliage. A blogger's dream?

They were so bright, I just couldn't resist! Ha my kitty flats are so old and battered, but the only ones that are similar are the Charlotte Olympia ones and they are a FORTUNE. Glad you had a good time, too :)

  3. This looks so nice! Such a fun and cute market. Sometimes I wish I would live in London, I feel like there's nothing going on where I live! haha.

It was adorable! Living in London definitely isn't as glamorous as it seems but there's no denying it seems to be a hub of blogger activity :)
