L'Eto Caffe

Unfortunately for London, it's earned itself a bit of a reputation as a faddy city. But the great thing about L'Eto Caffe is that it's not faddy at all. Everything it does (and it does a lot) it does exceedingly well. Mr Kipling ain't got a thing on this place.

And thankfully, it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. L'Eto is a relatively small London chain (there are six at this time of writing), and I visited the oldest branch in Soho with a friend I hadn't seen in an age, a few days before I went on holiday.

Here's a few things you need to know about L'Eto:

1. You'll come in, mesmerised by the cake...
2. You'll stay for the menu

Can you see that coffee menu? Honey & Ginger Latte, London Hot Chocolate, Cream Vanilla Latte... the dream is real. There's also the option of a Bailey's Latte (hot or cold, cus y'know, options) and numerous teas and... I'm getting ahead of myself.

L'Eto caters for every taste and appetite, whether you want a small, sweet snack or a monster savoury portion. They also have an egg menu which rivals every other breakfast and brunch establishment in the city. Check it out...

It's also all very reasonably priced, which is refreshing, considering it's in Soho.

We ordered the blueberry pancakes with fruit compote and vanilla cream, and eggs royale with tomato and avocado. It was delicious.

My friend was a bit flummoxed by the lemon (we assumed it was for the salmon, but the salmon was underneath the egg, so it was all a bit tricky), and the avocado was thickly sliced, so she had to cube it a little. But other than that, no complaints!

The dishes

Full, content, and fully caught-up with one another, we left in happy spirits.

Oh, and we couldn't leave without acknowledging the cakes, again...

For more information on L'Eto Caffes, check out their website (and the infamous menu) here.

*I was invited on behalf of L'Eto for a complimentary meal in exchange for a review. However, all views are my own!
