#TheBloggersMarket, take two

Following on from the success of the initial blogger's market back in January, the gals put it on all over again, this time in the chic setting of The Hoxton, Holborn. So I grabbed a gal pal and headed to central early-ish on a Saturday morning.

The first time I went was pretty intimidating: I didn't have a snazzy camera, I wasn't wearing a floppy hat (both blogger essentials, the latter especially in the winter months), and I looked more drowned rat than effortlessly put together.

Fast-forward 7 months, and the only thing that had changed was my camera upgrade. I can't compete with the fblogger crowd, but I do know how to make the most of clothes, food and getting a little glammed up. And thanks to T Swift, we all know girls shouldn't compete against each other anywho.

First, the rails.

Like last time, bloggers Olivia of What Olivia Did, Carrie of Wish Wish Wish, Dunya of Dearest Deer, Kristabel of I Want You To Know and Lucy of Shiny Thoughts put their heaving wardrobes up for sale to the delight of their audience. There was everything from clothes, to accessories, to brownies on offer.

If anyone's wondering, the brownies above are courtesy of Liv - she made honeycomb and salted caramel versions. I chose the former and it was rather delicious.

Then it was onto the food, which was supplied by Yo! Sushi and Krispy Kreme, plus hydration from Appletiser (hey, it was the morning) to wash it all down.

To qualify for the freebies, you were required to "Snap to sip" - catchy.

Of course we snapped and tagged all of the brands, for all of the food. It would have been silly not to! It was all great, by the way.

Oh, how it oozed.

Once we were fed and watered, we could go back to the clothes and peruse again because, yes, they kindly refilled the rails throughout the day. So if you decided to hit *snooze* a few too many times, you weren't at risk of missing out on some absolute bargains.

I was very well-behaved, and opted for a shirt from Cooperative (a brand sold at Urban Outfitters) and a shirt dress from Jaeger that is a little small, but I felt very YOLO and I was having an optimistic day. Plus, it was Jaeger, so I couldn't let anyone else have it.

When we couldn't face the crowds any longer, we popped next door where Benefit Cosmetics were offering mini makeovers, Emma Block was sketching guests, and  Joel from Hair By Joel was back doing his sweet hair thing. There was huuuge queues for Emma and Joel, but amazingly the Benefit girls were having a quiet moment - so we took advantage.

I opted for a neutral smoky eye, and my friend went for a bright, glossy coral lip. We brushed up quite nicely, if I do say so myself.

And that was that. We left and headed out to our next adventure of the day.
